There’s hurt, there’s pain.

The voices, my bane.

Where does it come from?

Why is it there?

Why does the mind choose the bad apples?

Why does it cast a shadow on the sun?

Why does it imprison you?

In the darkest corner of your thoughts?

You want to fight it,

You want the shadows rid,

You don’t want the darkness,

You don’t want the voices in your head.

Yet it’s potent, it’s strong,

It looms over you,

Always checking,

Always keeping you within its gates.

But you, you want to break free,

Free from the shackles,

Free from the voices,

Free from the gates, in the corner of your head.

You want the sun’s embrace,

To feel it’s warmth and it’s joy,

To let its love consume you,

Let it be you.

But how, how do you break free?
