Positive as it is

Negative it can be

One moment it's bright

And the next it's dark

Love,

Close bosom-friend of insanity

Unafraid it is

To clog your thoughts

And confuse your mind

Love,

You crave its presence

You bask in its abundance

You strive in its richness

But you crumble at its absence

Love,

A powerful weapon

Appreciate its gifts

Appreciate its letdowns

When the balance is struck

Your weapon it will be.
